Implants

Modern techniques in Implant Dentistry have revolutionized the way we deal with many dental problems. By surgically implanting artificial tooth roots made of titanium, we can comfortably replace missing teeth, stabilize full dentures, or allow our patients to say goodbye to their partial plates.  Also, implant dentistry allows us to greatly reduce damage or stress to the remaining natural teeth of the dental arch.

Implantation of titanium fixtures in the jaws is a fairly minor surgical procedure usually done simply with local anesthetic in the dental chair, and is typically very well tolerated.  Slight discomfort is to be expected, but the surgical phase of implant treatment is generally well tolerated by patients of any age.

After implants are placed in the jaws, there is usually some healing time, after which the remainder of the fixtures, the crowns, or the attachments will be added.

Sucessful implant treatment has been performed for more than 25 years and has contributed  to quality of life for a great many patients.  The long-term success rate for dental implants is in excess of 95%, and while we cannot predict exactly how long your implants wil last, most implants are still firmly in place and functioning over a span of decades.

Implants are a modern and predictable treatment choice.
